My Ice Age (Farewell 2021)

Something blowing in my head
Winter’s ice, it soon will spread
Death would freeze my very soul

My eyes are blind but I can see

The sun no longer sets me free
I feel there’s no place freezing me

It has been one hell of a year, hasn’t it? You’ll have to forgive my absence for the last month.. To top off one hell of a crazy year, I hit a rather nasty patch of RL burnout that’s managed to recede just enough to allow me a photo or two at the very end of it all, just to cap things off properly. I wish I could say that next year I’ll do better with my photos, I’ll get back on that horse and stay astride properly… But that had been my intention this year, and between emergency hospital visits, life saving surgery, the continued Pandemic, my computer frying itself and requiring a complete replacement, and everything else… I think it’s best to err on the side of caution for 2022.

So allow me to say that it’s been one hell of a year and, much like the time before it, I’ve genuinely enjoyed the vaguely sane moments where I’ve managed to grab a photo. The support and kindness I’ve received from my sponsors has never failed to warm my heart. And the community as a whole has been fantastic. Thank you all for putting up with my absences and occasional creative forrays into varying styles as I’ve attempted to figure out what exactly I’m doing with photoshop. I look forward to 2022 knowing that I will continue to maintain my little blog here and further cultivate the creativity I have to offer the community.

Ok, enough sentimentality for the moment.

Nefekalum Tattoos has really outdone themselves with their Rowan set. Released initially into the December round of We Love RP, this set is… surprisingly massive, and quite impressive. Not only is it available in 2 styles, but each comes with 6 (4 stylized, 1 black, 1 tintable version) BOM Facepaint layers (EvoX included!), 4 matching eye colors (BOM, Lelutka & Omega Appliers, and Mesh eyes!), AND a delightfully unique mesh crown! I have to admit, watching the creative force behind Nefekalum Tattoos delve into Mesh and come out with some really intriguing items has been one of my favorite experiences of this past year and I am very much looking forward to seeing what he’ll come up with in 2022!

Cinphul’s contribution to my final photo for 2022 is a wild and surprisingly delicate piece! Their Wilder Headdress was released into December’s round of The Warehouse Sale. It includes an absolutely MASSIVE texture HUD with options for positively everything, from the clusters of little bells to the string and ribbons that grace the branching antlers, to the bone itself. If you’re prone to playing wildlings of any sort, I highly suggest checking out this piece, it just may be the perfect addition to round out that RP character you’ve been working on! I know I’ll be putting it to use in such a fashion, myself!
